Advertising would be on the box, and not on the product. Perhaps advertising is the wrong word. What I mean are those horrible rows of labels you might see on say, a DVD player — listing all the formats it can play.
Have those things listed on a cardboard placard that can be propped up on the device if you’re displaying it in the store, if you’re going to list them at all, but don’t have that list permanently printed on the front of the player itself.
At least those horrid stickers that boast megapixels, zoom factors etc on digital cameras can usually be peeled off without to much bother.
Same goes for TVs, computers and so forth. There’s way too much clutter in the world as it is.
The only time I look for them is when I’m using a public computer (or a computer I haven’t used before) to see if it has a CD or DVD burner in it….
